Hairbrushes for Every Occasion

Hairbrushes For Every Occasion: Tangleteezer, Revlon Velvet Touch Vent Brush, Denman Strawberry Shortcake Fragranced Brush and Braun Satin 7 Iontec Brush
A long time ago I was always a 1 hairbrush gal.  I never really understood why people would need more than one and my Avon brush hung around for a little longer than it should have.  Recently I've embraced the fact that hairbrushes are used for different reasons so I thought I'd share what hairbrushes I use for each step of the haircare process.  From detangling to smoothing.. I've got you covered.

After I've washed my hair the first thing I reach for is my trusty Tangle Teezer.  What did I do before I had this? Those with curly hair understand eachothers pain when trying to get a comb through it while wet but the Tangle Teezer makes it so much easier.  If you suffer from any sort of tangles in your hair, you need this!

For the drying process I've dabbled in round brushes but I always back to my good old vent brush.  My brush of choice is currently the Revlon Velvet Touch Vent Brush which I actually picked up for £1.99, absolute bargain! Now it doesn't do anything fancy but the vents make it much easier for the heat to travel through from my hairdryer, thus cutting down on drying time.  Always a win in my books!

With long, thick hair.. carrying a hairbrush in your handbag is always a must and my choice is the Denman Strawberry Shortcake Fragranced Brush.  Denman is one of those brands synonymous to hairbrushes but until this year when Lisa kindly gifted this one to me, I'd never actually tried them.  I love that this brush is lightweight, the bristles separate the tugs easily and as an added bonus, it smells like strawberries!

Last but not least, if it's a special occasion and I want my hair to look perfect, I reach for my Braun Satin Hair 7 Iontec Brush*.  This one is special because it contains Ion technology which help smooth and fight frizz while brushing your hair.  My hair gets quite frizzy after drying my hair so a couple of brushes with this and my hair looks much smoother and also feels smoother too.  I have no idea how it does it, but it works.  I also like that you can remove the cushion pad to clean the brush.

Which hair brushes do you use?
