Rococo Nail Apparel in No Shrinking Violet

Rococo No Shrinking Violet
Another metallic nail polish you say? Surprise surprise!  While the Space NK sale was on, I decided to treat myself to a new polish in the form of Rococo Nail Apparel in No Shrinking Violet.  Rococo is one of those brands I always see on the Space NK website but haven't heard anyone speak about them.  While the polish was reduced from £12 to £3, I decided I didn't have much to lose and decided to give it a go.

First of all, let me say I've never seen a nail polish with as fancy packaging as this brand.  It almost explains the high price point.  It comes in it's own little box and a leaflet with directions and explanations of each of the finishes.

No Shrinking Violet is part of the Metallic range with a gorgeous deep purple shade.  Sort of like the purple version of Nails Inc's The Boltons.  For application I found it easy to apply, the formula is a little watery at times but it makes it really easy to blend into the nails.

As for longevity, sadly it didn't quite live up to expectations.  After around 3-4 days I found it started chipping near the cuticle area so it's definitely not one you could wear for a long time.  However, with experience with metallic nail polishes I find they generally don't last as long as regular finishes.

Would I pay £12 for it? Probably not but for £3 and a beautiful colour, absolutely.
