OPI Blue Chips

OPI Blue Chips
When it comes to nail polish, I've never really been into OPI.  There's no denying they have some beautiful shades but with such small nails to work with I find them really hard to use.  Of course some shades are worth the sacrifice so when I saw OPI's Blue Chips, I knew I had to pick it up.

This is the kind of glitter polish I can get behind, Blue Chips is a beautiful vibrant blue with tiny speckles of holographic glitter.  It has a sort of grainy texture so if you're looking for a smooth finish, I'd recommend putting a glossy topcoat over it.  I do feel the shade looks better in the bottle than on the nails but it's still a stunning shade.  For a glitter polish it's lasted very well on the nails so it's perfect if you want to wear the shade all week.

Best thing about this shade is that I managed to pick it up for £3.99 on Fragrance Direct.  Curious to why it was so cheap I did some digging and it seems that OPI rename their shades they sell onto discount retailers so Blue Chips is actually the same as the shade The Flowers are Blue-Ming.

OPI's can be very expensive in the UK so it eases my mind that these don't appear to be fakes!  If you're looking for a bold new shade, definitely go and get yourself a bargain.
