Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré

Embryolisse La Creme Concentrate
If you've never heard of Embryolisse, their Lait-Crème Concentré is a cult beauty product which you'll find in most makeup artists makeup bags.  If that fact alone doesn't peak your curiosity, I don't know what will.  It's essentially a moisturiser, primer and makeup remover in one which is said to suit all skin types.  After trying a sample of Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentré, I knew I had to pick up a larger version and see what all the fuss is about.

When I first tried the sample, I absolutely loved it.  The formula felt right and my makeup seemed to apply much better with it on.  Now fast forward to after I picked up a 30ml tube and the results weren't quite the same.

The best way to describe the formula of the 30ml tube is to compare it to the feeling of putting on a very thick sunscreen.  Truth be told, it wasn't very pleasant.  Less is more with this stuff so I'd recommend using a small amount and warming it up in your hands before applying.

As it's such a thick cream, you really need to let it sink into the skin.  I find if you apply it then go straight in with your foundation, it sort of separates your foundation and gives your skin a very greasy look.  For me it just takes a little too long compared to my usual La Roche-Posay Effaclar H moisturiser.

Sadly I feel this just isn't for me.  When applied right I think it can look good on the skin.  However with my oily skin I feel it's just too rich for everyday wear, but it might be perfect for dry skin.
