Models Own Hypergel in Red Lustre

Models Own HyperGel in Red Lustre

When I first tried out the Models Own Hypergel collection, I wasn't too impressed with the formula.  When I saw a few of the shades sitting unused I decided to give them one more try and I feel I may have spoken too soon with my negative opinion.  Red Lustre, the one I was least impressed with turned out to be much better the second time round so here's how you can get the most out of them.

With the comments I made previously, I still don't think they have quite the same gel effect as Nails Inc or Barry M but they do have a lovely glossy finish.  The part where I went wrong was application.  Due to the formula it appears very very thick so overtime each nail looks messier than the previous due to air getting into the polish.

For the best application of this I found applying the polish to three nails then closing and opening up the polish again worked 10x better than the first application.  Probably a little annoying for those who want to paint their nails and go but I guess it's the price you pay for the colour and finish.

As for wear time I found this lasted really well on the nails like I'd expect from a gel effect polish.  No signs of chipping with almost a weeks wear so it might be one to take with you on your holidays.

I'm really glad I decided to try this shade out again and I'll definitely be hunting out my other HyperGels to see how this method works with them.
