Warm Summer Nights Routine

La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water, Bioderma Hydrabio Rich Moisturising Cream, Bioderma Hydrabio Serum Moisturising Concentrate and Arran Aromatics Green Tea Eye Cooler Gel

As much as I love the sunshine and warm weather during the day, the same can't be said for those warm Summer nights.  I've always had the warmest room in the house which is great for Winter but when Summer rolls around, it makes for some sleepless nights trying to keep cool.  During this time I like to keep some beauty products handy at my bedside table for a good nights sleep.

I remember when all the cooling sprays were just coming out and I always thought, who would pay money for water in a can?  I couldn't have been more wrong due to the fact that my La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water rarely leaves my side.  It's basically just very clean water but it's seriously soothing for sensitive skin and instantly keeps you cool.  I'd say the main selling point is the way it mists your face rather than feeling like someone's thrown a bucket of water in your face.  I like to use it after I've taken off all my makeup and sometimes spray a mist onto my pillow before sleeping, it's wonderful stuff.

During the night, I find my skin tends to get very dehydrated due to the warmth so my main night moisturiser of choice is the Bioderma Hydrabio Rich Moisturising Cream.  The Hydrabio range is perfect for sensitive/dry/dehydrated skin so it really works to put the moisture back into the skin.  Even though it's called Rich, it feels very lightweight on the skin which makes it comfortable for sleeping in.  If my skin is feeling extra dehydrated, I'll team it up with the Hydrabio Serum Moisturising Concentrate underneath which is sort of the same concept as Hydraluron.

If my eyes looks a little tired from those sleepless nights, I reach for the Arran Aromatics Green Tea Eye Cooler Gel* to hydrate the undereye area.  It has a lot of antioxidants in it so it's really nourishing for the skin and it's so soothing to put on before bed.  I do find it cooling enough on it's own but for an extra treat you can pop it into your fridge before you use it.
