Le Soft Perfumes in Parisian Rapsody & Artist

Le Soft Perfumes in Artist & Parisiene Rapsody

If you aren't familiar with Le Soft Perfumes they're basically solid perfumes in stick form, created by Isabelle Masson Mandonnaud, the co-founder of Sephora.  This month they've introduced two new scents: Parisian Rapsody & Artist just in time for Summer.  Here's what you can expect..

Last year was our first encounter with Le Soft Perfumes so in terms of formula, we knew what to expect.  They arrive packaged in a little box explaining all about the fragrance, the formula and skin benefits.  It also comes with a handy leaflet inside telling you where to apply the perfume for the best scent experience.  They're cruelty free and safe to take on an aeroplane so if you're planning a Summer holiday, you might want to pick these up before you go!  Here's more about the two scents.

Le Soft Perfumes in Parisiene Rapsody

Parisian Rhapsody is made of mango butter and tamanu oil which helps with anti-aging and healing so it's perfect if you have quite dry skin that needs some nourishment.  Scent wise, it's definitely girly with top notes of Orange and Red Fruits, heart notes of Rose, Jasmine and Nutmeg followed by base notes of Coumarin, Vanilla and Musk.  Coincidentally, it's an exact scent match to Lush's Ro's Argan Body Conditioner which I've been using religiously before it arrived so I was glad to find a good match for the scent.  I think this is a very safe scent to buy as a gift for someone who likes naturally sweet, floral scents.  With the rose element I expected it to be much more of an older scent but with the mix of other scents it really blends in for a more youthful scent.  I'd recommend this over all the other scents I've tried.

Le Soft Perfumes in Artist

Artist is made from shea butter and natural waxes as it's base with a nourishing effect.  Although shea butter is very popular, it's something I try to avoid as it can cause breakouts for me so if you are an acne sufferer, it might be something to take into consideration.  It's a complete contrast to Parisian Rapsody as it's much more of a masculine scent.  Scent wise it includes top notes of Grapefruit, heart notes of Spices, Cedrat and Patchouli and base notes of Moss and Musk.  If you are a fan of woody scents, I definitely think women could pull it off but it's just a little too masculine for me.  The scent itself is quite fresh and fruity so it's not too heavy for during the day.  Artist would make a great gift for a young adult male I'd say.  The scent is lovely in itself but it's not something I would normally pick for myself.

Overall, Le Soft Perfumes have came out with some really lovely scents for Summer.  It's safe to say Parisian Rapsody will be living in my handbag from now on.  If you're interested in picking up these perfumes, you can get them directly from Cult Beauty for £20 each for approx 292 applications of perfume.
