Illamasqua Viridian Nail Varnish

illamasqua Viridian

Some people think buying high end nail polishes is a waste of money.  To a certain extent I agree as brands like Barry M has a much higher quality than what I've experienced with Chanel but every now and then I like to treat myself.  When I do buy high end polishes, I usually make sure I don't already own the colour and the shade has to be something I can't easily find elsewhere.  Illamasqua is a brand that does colour really well.  You can always count on them to have something different so today my nail polish of choice is Illamasqua's Viridian.

Viridian is described as a peacock green with a metallic finish which I can't seem to get enough of these days!  The shade is beautiful with hints of silver shimmer running through it and it looks really impressive on the nails.  Makes me wonder if it was named after the Viridian Forest in Pokemon? Who knows.

As with all Illamasqua nail polishes I've tried, the formula is spot on which makes the application simple and easy.  I do agree with the claim that they are hardwearing, however I did experience a little bit of chipping on two nails but I was building some complicated furniture so I think that can be excused!

All in all, it's a beautiful shade and I'd definitely recommend it.  I've never been disappointed in an Illamasqua nail polish yet so even though it's expensive, it gives me a little peace of mind knowing the formula will be great.  If you're lucky you can sometimes pick them up during sale time.  I'd say they also have the best nail polish swatches on their website than any other brand so you can really see what the shade looks like on the nails.
