Whether you love it or hate it there is simply no escaping the football fever that seems to have filled the summer air. One thing I can always get on board with though is a good theme, so when the June Birchbox* landed on my doorstep entitled 'Global Strikers', lets just say my interest in the world cup significantly increased...

I'm sure most of you will know how these monthly subscription boxes work, but for any of you looking for more details then head over to the Birchbox website for everything you need to know on how to get your hands on one of these every month. For the June box the team at Birchbox took inspiration from the world cup and have put together an array of goodies showcasing the best beauty players from around the globe. My box was bursting with fabulous products, some familiar faces and some faces that I cannot wait to try, so what's inside?

First up and hailing from France is the Embryolisse Lait-Crème Concentre, I've heard nothing but good vibes surrounding this brand and what better way to be introduced than with the cult facial moisturiser that can also double up as a mask! I love getting smaller sized pots of hair masks as they are a lifesaver to travel with, the Silk + Honey Shea Butter Hair Mask claims to protect and soften hair without leaving it flat, this one I am excited to try. Who doesn't love a bright pink pop of colour on the nails for summer? I was chuffed to find this wee OPI Nail Lacquer from The Brazil Collection in the box, and cannot wait to paint my toes this colour. The most exciting addition to the box for me was definitely the Beautyblender + Blendercleanser, the blender is something I have had my eye on for such a long time...and it obviously helps that it's bright pink. It's no secret that I love Caudalie and when I spotted the AMAZING Divine Oil I was very pleased, I love this stuff, it's a multi purpose luxury oil with an ingredients list that will make everything else in your bathroom blush. Finally in keeping with the summer/football/brazil theme there was a little flip flop keyring, what's not to love here?

As far as monthly subscription boxes go, this is one of the best I've received, the attention to detail made it really fun and festive. Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to spend my time pampering whilst my other half watches the football, where did I put that hair mask...
