May Favourites

May Favourites 2014

It's time for May favourites! This month was probably one of my favourites in terms of discovering new products.  Over the past few months I realised my makeup routine had stayed the same so now that Summer is around the corner I decided to inject some colour into my makeup stash.  Here's what I've been loving this month.

I don't think any of you will be surprised that the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipsticks have topped my favourites list this month.  I'm not usually one to wear such a bright lip shade during the day but these have completely changed my ways.  My collection of shades from the range seems to increase every time I visit Boots, oops!

After being very good at not buying a new nail polish, I eventually caved and purchased the Barry M Hi-Shine Gelly Nail Paint in Guava.  It had been a while since my last Hi-Shine Gelly purchase so I felt it was only right to add to the collection.  Guava is such a beautiful shade which looks great on every skin tone and a budget gel effect polish is something we should all get excited about.

As my candle stash starts to decrease, I bring out a new candle and the Space NK Mediterranean Fig Candle has been hiding in my cupboard for almost a year.  I always expect own brand candles to not live up to expectations but the Space NK candles are such good quality.  Mediterranean Fig is pretty similar to Diptyque's Figuier and it burns so evenly which is a sign of a good candle.  This was actually my Space NK N.Dulge birthday gift from last year so I'm secretly hoping for something similar this year in a few months.

After trying out Clinique's newest mascara, I actually found myself returning to an old favourite which is the Clinique Lash Power Mascara.  In my opinion, it's just the most perfect mascara and it lengthens like no other.  If you love lengthening mascaras, this is the one for you.

As a little miscellaneous favourite, I've been loving the Robinsons Squashed in Apple & Blackcurrant.  A while ago I cut out a lot of my fizzy drink intake so these days I pretty much only drink squash/diluted juice in the house.  My favourite is the Apple & Blackcurrant flavour and now Robinsons have recently came out with these travel size bottles which make up to 20 drinks which is pretty impressive.  I remember carrying those huge bottles of squash to take to my local country park in the Summer when I was little so it's pretty cool that I can now take this little guy with me instead.

I hope you enjoyed my favourites of the month, what have you been loving?
