John Frieda Luxurious Volume

John Frieda Luxurious Volume
John Frieda Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Shampoo & Conditioner (£5.89 each, Boots)
John Frieda Luxurious Volume Blow Out Spray (£6.99, Boots)

If there's a haircare brand which never fails to impress me, it's John Frieda.  From Brilliant Brunette to Full Repair they've always made my hair feel clean and nourished without any feeling of product build-up.  One range that I hadn't yet tried was the Luxurious Volume range which provides volume for colour-treated hair and now I'm putting the range to the test.

Usually with volumising products they tend to be very drying so anything that can keep my coloured hair nourished while providing volume is definitely what I'm looking for.  First off I start off with the John Frieda Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Shampoo which is a crystal clear formula.  With my long hair I tend to use a lot of shampoo but I was pleasantly surprised to find I need about half as much as I usually do.  Very easy to rinse and a little goes a long way.

With volumising products, I find conditioners to be quite tricky because the last thing you want it to do is weigh down your hair.  The John Frieda Luxurious Volume Touchably Full Conditioner is exactly how you want it; thick enough to smooth out the hair but thin enough to keep the volume locked in.  Again, very easy to rinse out and keeps your hair soft and silky.

Now you could stop there and you will achieve a lovely volume with the shampoo and conditioner alone but for an extra boost, I'd recommend the John Frieda Luxurious Volume Fine To Full Blow-Out Spray.  My hair is naturally quite thick but I think this stuff would be perfect for very fine hair that needs a little bit of extra help.  The spray is lightweight so you don't have to worry too much about over-spraying and it just gives a gorgeous natural lift.  I can see a difference when I skip this step so it's definitely one to look out for on your next trip to Boots.

John Frieda have done it again, quickly taking over my haircare stash.  As I've now tried the majority of their haircare I would say my favourite range for everyday would have to be Brilliant Brunette as my main haircare priority is keeping my colour looking vibrant.  However I'd reach for Full Repair if my hair was needing extra attention and Luxurious Volume if I'm going to an event or special occasion and my hair needs that extra lift.  Maybe I should make some more room on my bathroom shelf..
