Laura Geller Spackle Trio

laura geller spackle trio

This may be a bit of a shocking claim coming from a cosmetics lover, but I don't see the big deal when it comes to primers. I know, I know, shocking eh? They've just never agreed with me, however, when I was faced with this little multi tasking pot I was too curious not to try it. After a couple of uses let's just say I get it, I finally understand what all the primer related fuss is about, and it's all thanks to the Laura Geller Spackle Trio.

This little pot of wonders contains a face primer, lip primer and eye primer so is the perfect travel companion. The original Spackle formula claims to re-texturise the skins surface leaving it smooth and supple. It keeps skin hydrated throughout the day by locking in moisture, and because it's made from natural plant extracts and white tea it's extremely gentle and soothing on the skin. My favourite thing about this is the texture, it's the first primer I've ever tried that feels like its putting moisture into your skin, as opposed to stripping it for a matte finish. I use a tiny little amount of this and it keeps my foundation in place all day, and I'm partial to a late night, so it's definitely been put to the test!

The two little compartments at the top contain the Spackle Lip and Spackle Eye primers, which is so handy. The lip primer is brilliant for using with bold lipsticks, I've never seen my beloved Ruby Woo apply so well, and it really helps the lipstick last longer. The formula isn't chalky at all, which is what you'd expect. It's smooth and silky and feels really comfortable on the lips. The Spackle Eye primer again, feels really silky and moisturising and helps shadows or liners last the day, or night. This is a great shade for me primer wise, as I can even just use this on it's own to even and smooth out my lids if I'm just going for a natural look.

The trio is available from the Laura Geller website, I'd recommend anyone who has had problems with or felt a bit let down by other primers to give this a go, as this is totally different from anything I've ever tried before. Now that I'm a fully converted primer lover, be sure to tell me your favourites below...I've got some catching up to do!

  4. Multipurpose products are always a good thing. I only ever use eyeshadow primer as I can't stand the texture of most face primers.

I like the sound of having 3 primers in one bottle! Sounds fab. I need to use an eye primer most days as I have very oily eyelids.
