Holiday Round-Up

Cheesecake at Juniors, New York City

We don't often get personal here on Beauty Aesthetic, but as some of you may know I went on quite the adventure last month and thought it was only right I share some of it with you guys. Myself and my boyfriend went on a little jaunt to Canada and America and it was the best fun I've ever had, and such a wonderful way to kick-start a new year. So today I'm taking a little step away from beauty chat and sharing some little snippets of our adventure with you.

The first place we visited was Toronto, and it was literally a winter wonderland. Even the -40 degree winds couldn't spoil everything the city had to offer and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Some of my highlights:

Steam Whistle Brewery, Toronto CanadaGlass Floor at CN Tower, Toronto Canada

We were supposed to go and stay at Niagara Falls but because of the weather conditions we had to cancel that part of our trip, but it did mean more time in Toronto, so there was a silver lining.
The next stop on our journey was New York. I had never been before so I was really excited, and it did not disappoint. I literally cannot put in to words how amazing it is, it really is the city that never sleeps and these were a few of my favourite bits:

Champagne in New YorkJay Z Concert at Barclays Centre, New York
Top of the Rock, New YorkShake Shack, New York

Tea in Alice's Tea Cup, Central Park, New YorkStatue of Liberty, New York

Lastly, we went to Connecticut which was such a breath of fresh air (literally) after being in two huge cities for so long. The beach was beautiful and it was such a relaxing destination to end our trip:

I have returned home feeling so lucky and ready to take on the New Year, I can't wait to get back into my blogging routine again. How good a job did my partner in crime do at holding the fort whilst I was away? Definitely a few cups of thank you tea owed there!  I hope you enjoyed this little insight into my trip, and if you're missing the beauty chat already don't worry, we'll be back on the beauty bandwagon tomorrow!
