Wild About Beauty Safari Nights Palette

Wild About Beauty Safari Nights Palette

While I love experimenting in bright and bold lip colours, the same can’t be said for my eyeshadow choices.  I love nothing more than a plain and simple neutral palette.  While I don't normally wear eyeshadow during the day, I like to reserve it for nights out to transform my look from day to night.  The Wild About Beauty Safari Nights Palette* is a multi-purpose palette complete with two eyeshadows, two cream eyeshadows, a multi-purpose tint, a gloss, glow stick and powder blush so it’s all you need for a complete look.

If you haven’t came across Wild About Beauty before, it’s a brand founded by Louise Redknapp and international makeup artist Kim Jacob.  All of their products are paraben free and boast nourishing and beneficial ingredients.  The Safari Nights palette is part of the Spring/Summer Collection in association with the wildlife charity, Born Free Foundation with £4 being donated for each purchase of the palette.

What I love about this palette is that I will actually use all of the shades so it’s really easy to mix and match.  In the top two shades we have 03 Aine and 08 Polly which are the two powder eyeshadow shades.  If you’ve ever tried Alhambra by NARS, Aine is very similar and sort of a peachy pink shade which I’ve popped on the inner corners and in the middle of my eyelids for a pop of colour.  Polly is the dark brown shade which is perfect for the crease and is extremely pigmented so a little goes a long way.

The middle two shades are the cream eyeshadows in 03 Buster and 02 Edna.  I have to say I prefer Buster as it works better with my pale complexion and it’s a really lovely colour which could definitely be worn during the day.  I applied it before the powder eyeshadows and it really helped the eyeshadow shades pop.  One thing I have noticed about the cream eyeshadows are that mine have dried out a little since I first tried the palette so I’d say the best way to apply is with your fingers to warm up the product.

I’m not much of a lipgloss person so I haven’t tried the lip shades but I absolutely love the powder blush in 03 Kitty.  In the pan it looks like a very subtle peachy pink colour but the colour is very pigmented and as you can see in the photo above it gives the most gorgeous glow.  Definitely use a light hand with this one!

The Safari Nights palette is priced at £29, for a palette with 8 products in it I think it’s an amazing bargain.  If anything has taken your fancy but you don’t want the full palette, as far as I know all the shades are available to buy separately.  If you want my recommendation, I’d pick up the powder eyeshadow in 08 Polly and the powder blush in 03 Kitty.
