The Body Shop Coconut Range

The Body Shop Coconut Range Featuring The Body Shop Coconut Body Scrub and Body Butter

At the end of last month, some of you know that we took a little trip to The Body Shop and ever since we've been discovering some new finds and some old favourites.  If theres one thing I always go back to, it’s the Coconut Range.  Now that we can officially call it summer here in Scotland (providing I haven’t just jinxed it, shall I swap my sunblock for an umbrella now?) my skin needs a little bit more attention and moisture and these two products are here to work their magic.

Although I’ve been using the Coconut Body Butter, I’ve never used the Coconut Scrub* until now.  The scrub has the same sweet scent we’re all familiar with in a creamy textured form with tiny black beads for exfoliation.    I really like that the beads are so small so you’re not over exfoliating the skin but combined with the cream, it instantly hydrates the areas you’ve just exfoliated.  The scent also lingers on the skin after you use it so if you’re not really a body butter fan but you love the scent, you could probably use it alone.  I have to admit, it’s taken me days to write this post because I keep opening the product, smelling it and getting distracted, it’s that good!

The Coconut Body Butter needs no introduction.  I’ve enjoyed trying out all the different kinds but this is the one I always go back to.  It still has the same sweet/exotic fragrance it always had. Compared to the other body butters, this one is a lot thicker so I find that you need less than the others.  I’ve also recently been trying out the Coconut Body Butter from Dirty Works which has a lighter consistency so let me know if you’d like to hear more about that in another post.

Although I’ve been taking the lazy approach to moisturising with theNivea Shower Body Moisturiser, it’s still really important to use products like these and when I make the effort I notice a big difference in my skin.  Up until recently, I only just found out that the products are Fair Trade and the ingredients are sourced from Samoa.  Basically the coconut range helps 200 farmers have a sustainable livelihood and supports community education projects too so it’s a win win for everybody!

I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t like the coconut range so definitely head in to the store and try it out to see if you like it.  I think it’s currently buy one get one free on Bath & Body products so even more reason to get both!
