L'oreal Color Riche Neon Pop Collection

L'oreal Color Riche Neon Pop Collection

A few weeks ago, a very large mysterious parcel arrived at my door and inside was a giant balloon filled with confetti and these 4 lovely neon nail polishes from the L'oreal Colour Riche Neon Pop Collection*.  I’ve been quite ill for the past few weeks so it definitely cheered me up.  Now that the giant balloon from Bubblegum Balloons is starting to deflate and I'm starting to feel better I thought I would “pop” up a little review and tell you all about them.

There was a time when I owned approx 1-2 pink nail polishes but now they seem to be taking over my collection.  Acid Watermelon is the first pink shade, it sort of reminds me of OPI’s Pink Friday, that signature pink shade Nicki Minaj is known for with a slightly more neon hint to it.  Usually pink shades apply horribly but Acid Watermelon is basically opaque in one application.

Green is probably my least favourite colour but recently I’ve been loving the sort of pastel green shades.  When I first saw Wasabi Hint I thought it looked very similar to Essie’s Mojito Madness which I’d been trying to stop myself from buying.  I wouldn’t say this is neon at all but if it was I wouldn’t get much use out of it.

The bright yellow Banana Pop brings back memories for me because the first ever nail polish I bought was bright yellow.  It was the most abnoxious colour but I absolutely loved it.  I remember refusing to let my friend borrow it for her holiday because I was scared she’d lose it.  Nostalgia aside, It’s everything you’d want in a yellow nail polish and if there’s anytime to have an excuse to wear it, it’s during summer.

Last but not least is Flashing Lilac which is a deep purple shade in the bottle but applies more like a fuchsia on the nails.  Compared to the rest, the formula is slightly less opaque for some reason so you’ll definitely need two coats of it.  Out of the four, this is probably the most wearable everyday shade so I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use out of it.

Here’s a picture of the giant balloon from Bubblegum Balloons and reflections of my blogging induced mess of a room.  I think it actually stayed up for about 2 weeks so if you need to fulfil your balloon needs, maybe check them out.  I thought the Colour Riche Neon Pop collection was really lovely overall, they have a lot more shades than the 4 mentioned which Lisa and I discovered in Boots a few days ago too.  The shade Dating Coral definitely caught my eye but I think I’m set on corals for now!   Lisa is now back from her holiday so make sure you tune in for her adventures from Vegas.
