Eyebrow Routine

Favourite Eyebrow Tools Including La Vague Tweezers, HD Brows Kit and Royal & Langnickel Eyebrow Brush

When putting on my make up, I never feel it’s complete until my brows are tamed and filled in.  It wasn’t until a few years ago that I started paying them some attention, most likely because I met Lisa who is the eyebrow queen!  I've picked out some of my most loved eyebrow tools and products and here is how I use them.

I don’t know how many eyebrow tweezers I’ve lost over the years, I pretty much lose them daily but I always make sure I keep the La Vaque Classic Slanted Tweezers* in a safe place.  You need these in your life, seriously.  You won’t realise how terrible your current tweezers are until you get a pair of these.  These tweezers are extremely lightweight and it requires very little movement to close the two ends together which makes tweezing so easily done.  The ends are pretty sharp and thin so it can reach all the tiny hairs precisely.  Also if you break them, they have a lifetime guarantee so they’re really worth investing in.

During the tweezing stage, I use the Royal & Langnickel Revolution BX-135* which has a spoolie on one side and a slanted brush on the other, so it’s perfect for eyebrows.  I like to brush my brows through during the tweezing stage so I can see if there’s any hairs i’ve missed and it helps to train the hairs  to grow in the same direction.  You can use a clear mascara want or a brow gel but I find using this brush and a heavy moisturiser works perfect for me.  I do use the slanted brush side occasionally but sometimes it’s easier using a smaller brush handle for more precision.

Now I haven’t ventured into the eyebrow pencil stage, I find that eyebrow penciling in my brows can often have an overdone look so I tend to stick to powder for a much natural look.  I’ve heard quite good things about the Anastasia Brow Wiz so if you’ve tried it, let me know!  Until I tried out the HD Brows Palette in Foxy* I had been using Buck in the Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette to fill them in, but I soon switched when I realised I’d have to buy a whole new Naked palette just to fill my brows in again!  The HD Brows Palette is a godsend, I can pretty much get away with using 2 or 3 of the shades or mixing them but I tend to use the medium brown shade most days.  After many many months I’m only now starting to hit pan but when it runs out I’ll definitely be repurchasing another one.

And that is my eyebrow routine! I hope you found this helpful and of course, let me know what products you use for yours, I'd love more recommendations.
