Colour Trend - Coral

A review of coral make up products including Sinful Colors nail polish in Island Coral and Timbleberry, Clinique Blushing Blush in Sunset Glow, Nars Arabesque nail polish, MAC Vegas Volt lipstick, Benefit Juicy Coral Lip Shine with mention to Nars Orgasm Blush

Now I’m not a typical girly girl, but I do love when coral comes back during the Spring/Summer months.  I find it’s a very wearable colour on most people and it helps brighten up my pale complexion without looking too dramatic.

I don't own very many pinks but I went on a bit of a shopping spree when I discovered the Sinful Colours collection in Boots on a shopping trip with Lisa.  They had a wide selection of nail polish shades all for the price of £1.99 each, naturally I stocked up before people realise how good they are and the price rises.  Island Coral is the paler of the two which I currently have on my accent nail, teamed with Timbleberry on the rest of the nails for a bolder contrast.  On the other end of the price scale, Nars have one of the best nail polish formulations, definitely one to treat yourself to if you're feeling generous!  Nars Arabesque is such a gorgeous colour to layer over other shades.  It’s pretty much the Orgasm blush in liquid form to give you a better idea of the shade.

I don't use this as often as I'd like but the Clinique Blushing Blush in Sunset Glow was one of the first high end blushers I ever purchased.  It took forever to hit pan because the product is so pigmented and deep, I only ever need to use the tiniest amount.  One of these days I'll finish it, mark my words!  I also have a mini Benefit Coralista blush which I’m in the process of depotting which is also one of my favourite coral blushes.

Of course if we're talking coral, I have to include MAC Vegas Volt.  I wore this religiously throughout last summer and for my 21st birthday celebrations.  The amplified finish works so well to brighten up the skin and now that I've finally rediscovered it from hiding in my bag, the obsession will continue.  Last but not least is a Benefit Juicy Coral Lip Shine which was part of the Scene Queen gift set.  It’s pink with a shimmery golden finish which looks great layered over Vegas Volt.  Sadly I’ve just discovered they no longer sell this lip shine but I imagine the Coralista lipgloss to look very similar and would be a great alternative.

Let me know what your favourite coral products are, I'd love to find some new ones.
