Topshop Lipstick Collection

Topshop Lipstick

When it comes to lipstick, Topshop is definitely one of my favourite places to go.  I love going into the stores to see which new shades and collections they have.  I thought I would share which shades I have in my collection incase any of you want to try them out but don’t know where to start.  I've managed somehow to restrain myself from buying the whole collection but I'm sure that will change in the future!  Here’s what shades I have and what I thought about them.

Here we have the pink lipsticks.  Innocent is my most worn out of my collection and the first lipstick I got my hands on.  This pale pink shade has a velvet finish and is a great everyday lipstick to wear without going too dramatic.  As you can tell from the packaging, it pretty much lives in my handbag and I’ll definitely be repurchasing when it runs out.

Macaroon is a new addition to my collection and a really lovely colour to experiment with.  If you apply it straight on the lips it comes out in a sort of bright coral pink shade with a velvet finish.  I’d recommend this shade for going out but you could easily make it less dramatic by dabbing the colour very lightly onto the lips for an everyday look.

Going even further, Brighton Rock is a deep pink shade which would be great for making a statement.  The finish is slightly different as it is Satin Matte which I think makes the colour appear much bolder.

I’ve been looking for the perfect, “Your lips but better” shade for so long but I’ve finally found it with Secret Admirer.  I’d say it looks quite similar to Innocent in the tube but Secret Admirer is a much softer pink with a velvet finish.  I never feel like I have to mute the colour when I apply it for an everyday look.  If you’re pale like me and you want a safe lipstick colour, then look no further.

Out of all the Topshop lipsticks I own, Desert is the only one that disappointed me.  I’ve looked for a pale nude lipstick for so long but unfortunately this shade was so wrong for me.  It made me look washed out and the colour pay off wasn’t great at all.  I think this shade would work a lot better with a more tanned skin tone but definitely not if you’re extremely pale like me!

Everybody needs a classic red in their lipstick collection and Rio Rio certainly does the job.  The Satin Matte bright red shade is extremely pigmented and lasts a very long time on the lips.  I’m trying to get out of my lipstick comfort zone and experimenting with bolder shades and red is definitely the way to go.

Infrared used to cause quite a stir in the blogging world.  I never thought I’d suit orange lipstick but this shade makes it so much more wearable.  This orangey/red velvet lipstick suits everyone in my opinion.  It’s great for experimenting with different colours or if you want to step away from the classic red shade.

I hope you enjoyed this post! I’d highly recommend Topshop lipsticks for their choice of colour, the quality and the very reasonable price of £8.00 per lipstick.  I think they have something for everyone and I'll definitely be purchasing more in the future!
