London Fashion Week with TONI&GUY - Phoebe English

London Fashion Week with TONI&GUY - Phoebe English

The SS13 Collection by Phoebe English features black and white garments with a mix of oversized silhouettes and clever geometric shapes.  The collection is very dark and intense which is a big contrast from the majority of Spring/Summer designs I’ve seen so far.

I especially love the dramatic pale make up which ties in perfectly to the overall look of the collection.  The make up features a very pale white face with slight contour of the cheeks, almost vampire esque.

The hair which was made up by Efi Davies and the TONI&GUY Session Team seems simple from the front but has a slight futuristic edge with the focus on the back of the hair.

Here is how you can achieve the look, courtesy of TONI&GUY:

Step 1- Prep the hair with label.m Sea Salt Spray (which I love!), drying off the hair on a medium heat, while smoothing with a label.m Session brush.

Step 2-  Place the hair into a centre parting and section the hair into three – 3” sections at either side of the parting from the hairline, receding backwards and with a large section at the back.

Step 3-  Create a small ponytail within the large section, above the nape of the neck. Pull all of the hair together and smooth down into a low, loose ponytail, tying off with an elastic.

Step 4- About 3” from the bottom of the ponytail, loop another elastic around the hair, without pulling the hair through. Roll the hair from this point, under itself and secure with pins. Finish with label.m Hairspray.

I hope you enjoyed this post and this little mini-series we're doing.  Let me know your favourite collection from LFW so far and remember to check back tomorrow to see Lisa’s favourite look from the Monday shows!
