London Fashion Week with TONI&GUY - Manuela Dack

London Fashion Week with TONI&GUY - Manuela Dack

Manuela’s Caribbean upbringing was prominent in her collection using palm weaving techniques to add texture and drama to the softest silk skirts. Her mainly white collection was inspired from organic shapes and architectural lines, resulting in a sophisticated feminine collection, with flashes of texture and colour. Personally my favourite part of the collection was the 1930’s inspired pyjama style pieces in muted white/grey shades, so elegant! We have been given a bridal project this semester in uni and I can definitely see myself taking inspiration from the colours and fabrics used here.  The make-up was extremely minimal with a big focus on overgrown, natural brows (I had some serious brow envy looking at these models) and full, dewy nude lips, the perfect accompaniment to the collection.

The hair looked amazing, with TONI&GUY’S inspiration being ‘distressed braids post a seaside swim’ and I’d say this is exactly the look that was delivered. Although there was a lot of detail in the braiding at the back of the hair, the front looked chic and undone complimenting the colour and cleanness of the collection.

Heres how you can achieve this gorgeous braided look, courtesy of TONI&GUY:

Step 1- Apply some label.m Volume Mousse and give your hair a good blast with your dryer.

Step 2- Section hair and work from the natural parting onto s-shaped braids - making sure it is loosely intertwined, the looser the better!

Step 3- Pull pieces from the front of the hairline to literally veil the face.

Step 4- Apply label.m Sea Salt Spray for a partial wet look and texture. Finish with label.m Hairspray for hold.
