Dove Colour Radiance Range

Dove Colour Radiance Range

Recently the lovely people at Dove sent us their new collection of hair products, the Colour Radiance* range.  Ever since I was about 11-12 I’ve been dying my hair all sorts of colours (over 5 to be exact!) so it is important for me to use products that make the colour last longer.  Despite dying it so much, it’s in pretty good condition but sometimes it needs a little treat every now and then to keep it looking vibrant.

Colour Radiance Damage Solutions Shampoo and Conditioner

The Colour Radiance Shampoo and Conditioner are in the classic dove packaging and promise to keep your colour looking more vibrant for up to 10 weeks, so far so good!  The shampoo is also low in sulphates which is great.  Sulphates tend to cause dryness in your hair and is used to create a lather in the hair so by having a low sulphate amount is much better for your hair.  Compared to other Dove shampoos i’ve used in the past, I found this one much easier to rinse out of my hair and left my hair feeling very soft and clean.  I’m not a big user of conditioner, I’ll maybe condition my hair about once a week.  Conditioner tends to weigh down my hair and make it much harder to style so if I do use it i’ll most likely put it on the ends of my hair to make it easier to brush through when drying.  This conditioner was very easy to wash out of my hair and tamed the ends of my hair very well.

Colour Radiance Damage Solutions Express Treatment Conditioner and Leave-in Conditioning and Care Spray

These two products are the real difference makers of the collection.  As I mentioned above, I don’t use conditioner that much so the Express Treatment Conditioner is much more suited to my hair routine.  It’s quite similar to the previous conditioner, however it contains a UV filter which makes such a difference towards keeping your hair colour vibrant.  In the summer I tend to find that my hair naturally lightens with the sun so having a UV filter stops this from happening and I can really see a difference.  Plus, an added bonus is that the conditioner is actually pink!

I tend to use styling products more than fancy shampoos and conditioners so this product is a great one to try out.  I’ve always been a bit wary of leave-in conditioning treatments/sprays because it’s very disappointing when you’ve spent tons of time washing and drying your hair to find that you've used too much product and need to go through the whole process again.  However, the Leave-in Conditioning and Care Spray is probably one of my new favourite styling products.  You shake the product so it all combines together and simply spray through your hair, simple!  The formula of the product is extremely lightweight so you can go crazy spraying it all throughout your hair without a worry that you’ve put too much in.  You can also use it after drying your hair which is great if you feel your hair is a little on the dry side.  If I were to pick one product out of the whole collection it would definitely be this product!

  2. Will need to give the leave in conditioner spray a try - I'm always scared of them as I do always put in far too much product and then it weighs my hair down, but if I can go spray crazy with this it sounds right up my street ;)
Lovely to meet you the other night :) x
