August Favourites 2012

August Favourites with No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Water,

I can’t remember the last time I wrote a favourites post, mainly because nothing was really standing out to me, but over the past month or so there have been a few products that have caught my attention…

No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Water

Usually when it comes to cleanser the richer and creamier the better for me. I love the luxurious feel of a cream cleanser and thought I liked the results they had on my skin, that was until I was given this as a birthday gift! When I first seen that this was a cleansing water I initially thought it was a ‘high street’ version of water based cleansers such as Bioderma, but this is so much more. It has the scent and luxurious feel of a creamy cleanser without the greasiness or heaviness. As it’s designed for oily skin (you guys are aware of my ongoing battle of the shine) my skin is left super matte and super soft! I’ve been using this now for around 4-5 weeks and the difference I have noticed in my skin has been huge!

Rimmel Notting Hill Nude Lipstick

Rimmel Notting Hill Nude Lipstick

I’d like to introduce my new everyday lip colour, this is the perfect balance of colour and shine.  There is just enough of a tint to this to give my lips a lift and a hint of shine to make them look healthy. I haven’t really tried these Rimmel lipsticks before, but I love the formula and scent of this one.  I’ll definitely need to invest in some other shades, suggestions anyone?

L’Oreal Telescopic Waterproof Mascara

L'Oreal Telescopic Waterproof Mascara

This was my saviour on holiday.  Literally NOTHING is making this budge, which I suppose is kind of a draw back as it is quite tricky to remove…but the effect is so worth it. My lashes have never looked longer or more defined than with this and the super black formula means my usual translucent lashes really stand out! Like I said though you do have to be extra gentle removing this as it does take some time and you don’t want to mourn the loss of too many lashes!

Original Source Raspberry & Vanilla Shower-Gel

Original Source Raspberry and Vanilla Shower-Gel

My sweet tooth definitely extends to beauty products and this stuff is seriously addictive! I’ve never smelt a sweeter shower gel.  Infused with fresh raspberries and vanilla, this foams up a treat and fills your bathroom with a gorgeous fruity scent, these shower products are such great value for money as-well!

Cath Kidston Mug

I am the original tea jenny. Not only do I have a huge collection of teas, I also collect mugs/cups/anything tea related, so when Sami got me this mug for my birthday it was love at first sight! The kitsch print is right up my street and it’s MASSIVE so my cup of tea lasts even longer. I’m definitely going to be keeping my eye out in-case any of the other patterns of this mug go on sale so I can snap them up.

So there you have it, my superstars of August. I cant believe it’s September already.  As geeky as it sounds I’m really looking forward to getting back to uni and having a routine back again! What products stood out for you guys in August?
