Best of the Bunch: Lipsticks

Best of the Bunch: Lipsticks

I like (more like need) a bit of structure in my life, so I thought it would be a novel idea to begin a little series here on Beauty Aesthetic, so every week I will share my favourite bits and pieces from my beauty stash with you guys!  Where better to begin than with lipstick, lovely lovely lipstick! I’ve always been secretly smug that with my sort of ‘in-between’ hair colour I can get away with most shades, so I really enjoy experimenting with and getting the most out of my lipsticks, but there are six in particular that I just could not be without.

From left to right:

1. Paul & Joe Lipstick in shade 19.
This is my all time favourite lipstick, the perfect everyday creamy nude shade that builds up like a dream.

2. BonneBell Lipstick in shade 44 Orange Hit.
I actually got this lipstick from a market in Birmingham so I have no idea where it actually retails, which means I have to ration this as I never want to run out! It’s the perfect orange toned red that just seems to suit my complexion so well.

3. YSL Rouge Pur Lipstick in shade 22.
I love the packaging of my YSL lipsticks, but this is the one I reach for most if I’m wanting a hit of colour or if I’m feeling particularly sixties inspired that day as this is a true retro bubblegum pink explosion!

4. Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Mulberry.
This is definitley my most ‘statement’ lipstick, I love the formula of the sleek lipsticks and they are such a bargain! This is a gorgeous brown/purple almost black shade that looks great patted on the lips for a blotted effect.

5. MAC Matte Lipstick in Ruby Woo.
Sami kindly got me this for Christmas this year and I love it! So long lasting and the most gorgeous true red. I think the MAC lipsticks smell delicious and this is my second favourite red of all time!

6. Natural Collection Lipstick in Fig Leaf.
This is probably my most re-purchased lipstick of all time! Its the perfect taupe brown shade that warms up my complexion and goes with any look. The formula is really creamy and long wearing considering the super cheap price!

So there you go, that’s my favourite lipsticks from my collection, what are your favourite lipsticks, or do you prefer lip-gloss?
