Weekend in Birmingham

Weekend in Birmingham

Hello lovelies, I thought I’d maybe do more of a personal post for you all today, as I’m really nosy and love reading more ‘life’ related posts on other peoples blogs!  So last month (yes I really am a month late in putting this up…worst blogger ever!) I travelled to Birmingham for my cousins 21st birthday party!  So I thought why not bring you guys along with me and take the opportunity to dabble in a few outfit of the days…

As soon as we got there myself and the man couldn't wait to get checked in to our hotel and hit the shops, I have been blessed with a man who loves shopping more than me, hurray! So my outfit for shopping needed to be super cosy as it was freeeeeezing! (Please do excuse my blurry eyes it was so windy!)

So after a much needed rest and shower, I got myself ready for the big party…but I had a major dilema! Basically i’d went under the pretence that i’d be able to wear my favourite over the top party heels…however after a brief visit to my aunts I soon realised that this would not be happening, as the party was being held in a HUGE festival tent in the garden…on the grass…meaning total heel sinkage, yuk.

So I had planned to wear this….. (Again, my boyfriends i-phone camera seems to have a fascination with altering my eyes…wizard eyes perhaps?)

Weekend in Birmingham

Dress- Urban Outfitters
Heels- Kurt Geiger

Not happening. Luckily I travel far from light so had another option, luckily an option that went with my boots…

Weekend in Birmingham

Dress- Primark
Jacket- River Island
Boots - River Island

I won't mention each individual products I used on my face (unless you guys really want to know then leave a comment please), but I just opted for a generic smokey eye/pale lip combo with natural messy hair.

So the party was wonderful…cold, but wonderful and it was smiles all round from the birthday boy so thats all that counts really!

Here, just incase you're all as nosy as me, was my sort of makeup/toiletries/jewellery selection from the trip…

Perfume- Love Chloe (I’m running out it’s so sad)
Selection of jewellery mostly from charity shops
Makeup Bag- Urban Outfitters
Wash Bag- Illuminati

I had a lovely time in Birmingham, and always do, it’s certainly a city that knows how to party! After more time spent with family it was time for the long drive home, made very yummy indeed with the addition of these bad boys from Krispy Kreme…(im literally salivating at the mere sight of this picture)

Oh yeah! Well worth waiting in the ridiculously long queue for, my favourite is the most boring looking one aswell, the apple & cinnamon.
Well I hope you enjoyed this little sort of ‘life’ post let me know if you’d like to see more of these kind of posts from both of us!
