Prague Haul

Hi lovelies! I’ve been such a busy bee recently with uni, work and the blog so this is me just getting around to showing you the beauty products I got in Prague.

I’d never been to Prague before, and being a bit of a culture vulture I loved it. It’s also great value for money as it still has it’s own currency so you are sure to pick up a few bargains!

We were staying in a town called Andel which was literally 10 minutes from the center of Prague so we were spoiled with choice of what to do whilst we were there, I got to try out a segway (by try I mean sheepishly move around at about 3 miles an hour as me and moving objects don’t get on well) we saw the beautiful palace, went on a a little tram/tain tour which turned out to be terrifying, went shopping and of course drank lots of beer!

So here is the beauty related items I purchased…

I only really got a few bits from Sephora and duty free as the other beauty buys I got that were from stores/brands exclusive to Prague were for gifts.

Please excuse my bad photography skills here I was clearly in a hurry! The first thing I got was one of the Sephora eye colours in shade 86 meet me at midnight which has been totally cheated by this photo, as its the most beautiful deep mauvey/purple shade with the most wonderful silver toned sparkle, there are two things I love in eye makeup, deep colour and a fistful of sparkles and this beauty has both, hurray! As for application it’s a smooth silky dream and the formula is long lasting and paraben free. Now I’m tempted to say that this was around £7 but I really cannot remember.
Halfway through my trip I realised that my erratic packing skills had finally caught up with me as I ran out of cleanser, so I picked up this little mini Sephora soothing cleansing milk which again is paraben free, is tough enough to remove eye makeup yet has ‘HydroSenn+’ (sorry?) which apperently gives you a nice soft face! To be quite frank, fancy terms aside, this is just a really good cleanser, which I must have liked as I continued to use it once I returned home and it’s now all done. However, I’m a sucker for a nice smell and this could not be further from a nice smell, as good as the formula is, nothing could take away from the sickening scent, some may love it, I hate it. Again though, it cant be all bad as I used the little beauty up. This was quite cheap only about £3 tops.

Lets not get our knickers in a twist, we’ve all seen/got this, I was just a little slow at jumping on the bandwagon but boy am I glad I did! I’d like to give special shout outs to my new best friends sidecar and smog, of course I’m referring to the Urban Decay Naked palette I got this on the flight home as a little treat and I think it was slightly cheaper than it is in stores.

With the winter fastly approaching us I decided it was time I stocked up on some heavy duty skin soothers, so they had a lovely little Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream set on the flight on the way home too. I’d only ever tried the classic 8 hour cream so I was excited to try out the lip treatment and hand treatment, I absolutely LOVE the lip balm, I am aware that it’s basically just the 8 hour cream solidified but it just goes on so smooth and makes my lips feel as though they are coated in silk. The hand cream is lovely, not very handbag friendly but I use it religiously morning and night. I’m sure we can all agree that the 8 hour cream itself is a blessing in a tube, the one I had before this was in a jar, and I much prefer it being in tube form, handier and easier. This I’m sure will be my best friend through the winter months!

So there you go thats the beauty bits I got in Prague, if you guys would be interested in seeing the other little trinkets or things I pick up them let me know, I collect postcards so I brought so many back!

Have any of you been to Prague, if so what did you think?
